My wife's 06 Corolla S (because raSecar) the fuel gauge won't go past a quarter tank. It just stops.
She's been having alternator / battery issues as well but I don't think those problems are linked.
What's Oppo think? Other than sell it I mean...

Have you put any fuel system additives in it? Seafoam or Techron may help free up the sender unit. You may be able to free up the sender with just chemicals. If that doesn't work you might have to pull the sender unit out and clean it up and see if the arm moves freely. The main question is, does the fuel gauge have any sweeping motion at all?

It does move. The fucker just stalls at 1/4 tank. I think you may be correct getting the fuel system sorted.

I second seafoam, or something to put in the tank for more accurate readouts. I also suggest another Audi.

No worries. Part of me was waiting for the FiST or FoST suggestions. Thought Brian would have dropped a gif by now.

Won't go below a quarter or above? If it won't go below it's possible the bottom of the tank got smashed in. The other way around, I got nothing.

That's going to be my next step. Two Audis in the driveway is either brilliant or suicidal.

When we took the gauge out it was bent like an "L" preventing the float to from going below a certain level.

I really don't want to have to drop the tank. But it may have to be done. Thank you for the insight.
